In May 2014, Dr. Phillip Elston and Dr. Jared Most co-founded Clarity Advanced Eyecare. Dr. Most and Dr. Elston are Optometrists in Birmingham, MI. Dr. Jared Most
Optometrist
Dr. Jared Most received his Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA. Upon graduation in 2009, Dr. Most completed his residency in Ocular Disease at the John D. Dingell Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Detroit, MI.
Following his residency, Dr. Most remained on staff at the John D. Dingell VAMC, where he has been a practicing attending since 2010. He holds a clinical faculty position at the Michigan College of Optometry, as well as the New England College of Optometry. In addition to direct patient care, Dr. Most oversees the clinical education of Optometry residents and interns. Dr. Most has also spent time working in the private sector, performing primary care and contact lens examinations for patients of all ages. He has a great deal of interest in keeping up with the newest technologies and treatments in the eyecare field.
In his free time, Dr. Most enjoys Michigan State and Detroit sports, trips to Northern Michigan, outdoor projects at home, and spending time with his wife, Kate, and their 2 young daughters.

Dr. Phillip Elston
Optometrist
Dr. Phillip Elston is a graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL. He then completed his residency in Ocular Disease/Primary care at the Illinois Eye Institute, also in Chicago. Upon completion of his residency in 2006, Dr. Elston moved to Michigan to continue his Optometric career.
Dr. Elston has been practicing since 2005 and has been serving our veterans at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center since 2007. In this position, he also serves as the Optometry Residency Director. Dr. Elston also holds a clinical associate professor/faculty position at eight optometry schools across the country. He is active in the teaching and clinical instruction of interns and residents at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center. In October 2013, Dr. Elston earned the distinction of Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry.
Dr. Elston enjoys spending his free time playing golf and spending time outdoors with his wife and three children. Dr. Elston looks forward to being your primary eye care provider in the Birmingham, MI area for many years to come.

Dr Ray A. Salerno
Optometrist
Dr. Salerno joined and merged with Clarity Advanced Eyecare in December of 2020. Born in Detroit, Dr. Salerno graduated from Birmingham Groves High School. He holds a BA degree in Chemistry from the University of Detroit and doctoral degree from the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University. As an experienced independent eye doctor for over 30 years, he excels in comprehensive eye examinations and complicated contact lens fittings. Dr. Salerno’s passion is commitment to providing personalized family vision care.
